You may have never run for public office. You might not know much about politics. But with NAIFA’s Advisors Political Involvement Committee (APIC), you can still make a difference and influence how State and Federal Legislators vote on legislation important to insurance and financial services professionals. You can get involved in a number of ways.
- Instructions for Scheduling a Meeting with your Legislator
- Sign up as a California legislative key contact: if you personally know a member of the California State Legislator or a California Government official that you may have a friendship or business relationship with, please let ups know and become their key contact.
- Sign up as a California Congressional key contact: if you personally know a member of the Congress.
- Respond to NAIFA Action Alerts on legislation affecting your business.
- Serve as a Federal Senate or District Coordinator and hold regular meetings in the district with your legislator. The level of involvement is up to you.
