The New 4-Hour Ethics Requirement

By the time your life insurance license renews, beginning January 31, 2007 and on, you must have taken a 4-hour Ethics class as part of your CE requirements.  It is not in addition to the existing required number of CE credits, but must be part of them.

It is the agent s responsibility to complete his/her continuing education requirements on or before the expiration date of their license.  To avoid delays in renewing your license, the CDI encourages you to complete your required continuing education hours at least sixty (60) days prior to the expiration date of your license to allow sufficient time for your provider to submit the necessary information and for the CDI to update your records.

A continuing education course may only be taken for credit once during a renewal period.  If a course is repeated during the same renewal period, the credit hours will not be applied and will not carryover to the next period.
