NAIFA-California has
received official word that the 2006 Life Insurance
Awareness Month proclamation, sponsored by us, will
indeed be signed by Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger. The
proclamation has been sent to their Executive Writers,
and we anticipate it will be completed by August 31.

On September 1, the industry
will come together for the third time to observe Life Insurance
Awareness Month. This is an opportunity for the industry to act
collectively to make sure all Americans are reminded of the
importance of including life insurance in their financial plans.
It's also a time for action. Tens of millions of Americans lack
the life insurance coverage they need to ensure a secure
financial future for their loved ones. When September rolls
around, you can do something about the growing "crisis of
underinsurance" by talking to people in your community about
their life insurance needs.
By clicking on the following link, you'll find lots of great
information about LIAM, including a special videotaped message
from this year's LIAM spokesperson, Olympic Gold Medalist Scott
Hamilton.
